About

Lost Negatives is a collection of abandoned film photographs digitally brought to life.

Driven by a sense of preservation and reverence, Lost Negatives is dedicated to scanning and restoring these fragile pieces of visual memory before they are lost to time. The project aims to give a new life to forgotten stories and lost imagery, transforming what might have vanished, into a living collection of art.

By archiving and exhibiting these images, Lost Negatives seeks not only to celebrate the mystery and beauty of found photography — but to honor the unknown artists behind the lens, giving their photography the chance to see the light of day.

All images are sourced, scanned, curated, and archived by Eve Mahaney - based in Brooklyn, NY.
